American Heart Association BLS

The BLS instructor-led course teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in both prehospital and in-facility environments, with a focus on High-Quality CPR and team dynamics. 

Skills covered in this course include: 

• BLS/CPR Basics for Adults 
• 1 & 2 Rescuer CPR with AED adult
• Airway & Breathing Adult, BVM Adult 
• BLS/CPR basics for Child   
• BLS/CPR basics for Infant
• 1 & 2 Resuer CPR with BVM Child & Infant 
• AED for Infant & Children
• CPR with Advanced Airway
• Rescue Breathing 
• Choking Adult, Child & Infant 

 Upon Completion of this course, individuals will receive a BLS provider card and a certificate with CME point value shown.

American Heart Association ACLS

The American Heart Association’s ACLS Course builds on the foundation of lifesaving BLS for Healthcare providers skills. This advanced, instructor led classroom course highlights the importance of team dynamics and communication, systems of care and immediate post-cardiac arrest care. 

In this course, skills are taught in large, group sessions and small, group learning and testing stations where case-based scenarios are presented.

This course is designed for experienced healthcare professionals. Participants will be expected to understand and perform BLS and ACLS skills. Participants should also have an understanding of the pharmacology associated with ACLS in pre, arrest and post arrest patients. 


Skills covered in this course include; 

• Key changes in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, reflecting the 2015 American Heart Association guidelines for CPR & ECC
• BLS skills including AED and bag-mask device 
• Recognition and early management of respiratory and cardiac arrest 
• Recognition and early management of per-arrest conditions such as symptomatic Bradycardia 
• Airway management 
• Related Pharmacology 
• Management of Acute Coronary Syndromes (ACS) and stroke 
• Effective communication as a member and leader of a resuscitation team 

Upon completion of this course individuals will receive an ACLS provider card and certificate with CME point value shown. 

American Heart Association PALS

The American Heart Associations PALS course enhances healthcare providers skills in the treatment of paediatric arrest and peri-arrest patients. This course aims to improve the quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured children, resulting in improved outcomes

The course in an instructor led program that uses a series of simulated paediatric emergencies to teach and reinforce the important concepts of a systematic approach to paediatric assessment, BLS, PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation and team dynamics. 


Skills covered in this course include; 

• Key changes in Paediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support, reflecting the 2015 American Heart Association guidelines for CPR & ECC 
• BLS skills including AED and bag-mask device for both child and infant 
• Management of respiratory emergencies 
• Rhythm disturbances and electrical therapy 
• Vascular access 
• Cardiac, respiratory and shock case discussions and simulations 
• Systemic approach to pediatric assessment
